In an effort to drum up customers for his skydiving business, Matty Squarzoni created “The Present App,” a mobile kiosk software. The interface he created allows businesses (hotels, attractions, restaurants, etc.) to create their own display and design that look much the same as a hardware-based kiosk might. The app not only promotes products and services, but also collects user data from customers and offers a point of sale.

The app has been selected and implemented by his home town of Columbus, Georgia, where the kiosks are being installed throughout the city. We caught up with the team at Present to learn more.

Through Present’s platform, any designer or editor can manage applications themselves and thanks to Present’s Content Editor these are quick and simple to update, without any programming skills. How’d You Get The Idea For It:
Trying to advertise for skydiving, I spent a lot of money on conventional advertising with buying all sorts of printed media. While delivering rack cards to local hotels I thought of an idea to digitize the concierge service. This spawned a dynamic application for creating information kiosks.

Collaboration Tools & Processes Do You Use:
All proprietary. Currently utilizing Apple Ipads for the display medium. Working on a droid and large screen version.

Where do you gain your insights from and how do you stay on top of emerging trends?
We are staying ahead of emerging trends by clearing a path in a new market.
