A Happy Thanksgivukkah to you and yours!
In one week, an extremely rare convergence of Hanukkah and Thanksgiving will occur, and ModernTribe.com is offering fun products online and in their pop-up shop in Inman Park to celebrate the occasion.
Jennie Rivlin Roberts (@ModernTribe_Jew) founded ModernTribe.com in 2007 after her and her husband invented No Limit Texas Driedel to spice up the traditional game of driedel for their Hanukkah parties. The game, a cross between Texas Hold’em poker and driedel, was such a hit that Jennie started selling it and eventually other fun Judaica gifts online.
As the 28th draws nearer, Thanksgivukkh has captured the public’s attention, and Jennie saw the opportunity to get creative and produce a line of products to commemorate the event. Orders have been pouring in from across the country and ModernTribe has opened a pop-up shop to double their production space and add a brick-and-mortar storefront.
Check out their exclusive Woodstock-inspired tee shirts emblazed with the words “Light, Liberty & Latkes” as well as a parody poster of Grant Wood’s American Gothic painting.
