Software Firm, Movius Raises Serious Dough
The Scoop:
- The company was created nearly eight years ago, following the acquisition of Duluth, Ga.-based Glenayre Messaging by Milpitas, Calif.-based IPUnity.
- Current HQ is 11360 Lakefield Drive Atlanta, Georgia 30097, with additional offices in UAE, South Africa and Spain.
- Movius allows consumers to easily switch between work and personal on their cell phone. Calls, data, email and apps for work are stored separately from their personal items to provide privacy and security. The technology can also support multiple phone lines on a single device.
- The company has customers in the North America, Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia and Latin America markets.
- Investors include: Point Guard Ventures, New Enterprise Associates, Kleiner Perkins, (Movius raised about $11 million in 2013).
