What is Austin Lloyd?
We sell monthly subscriptions of high-end educational toys for infants and toddlers.

What’s your traction been like thus far?
We are growing every month and all of our reviews have been extremely positive.

What do you know now that you wish you would have known when you started Austin Lloyd?
How much time and money would go into website development. I also wish I had a better idea of how to find and approach potential investors.

What’s a hypothesis that you’ve had that has failed? And how did you respond?
I presumed that many people would question my expertise since I am not a parent myself. However, most people I contact do not seem to have a problem with it.

What’s your favorite startup in Atlanta? (Besides your own!)
Spanx. While not a start-up anymore, Sara Blakely is an inspiration for me.

What’s your favorite thing about being an entrepreneur?
The flexibility and being able to make an immediate impact. After working in large corporations, it is a breath of fresh air.

What’s your favorite local sports team?
Atlanta Falcons

If your company were an animal, what would it be and why?
A stork. It is currently part of our logo. It highlights our target market and serves as a reminder of the importance of our delivery capabilities.
