Local Crowdfunder | Bridge the gap btw learning & inventing electronics

SocketCircuits is an Atlanta based electronic component socket manufacturer with a focus on simplifying the process of learning, constructing, and prototyping electronic circuits and devices. It’s easy enough for an 8 year old to use, and versatile enough for prototyping all sorts of technology products. SocketCircuits is for makers, STEM educators, kids, artists, professional engineers and anyone with an idea and a desire to invent their own electronic device.

Cory Russek (@CoryRussek), the creator of SocketCircuits spent 2+ years on research and development before deciding to launch their Kickstarter Campaign. The team has already raised $1,500 over their initial goal and still have a few weeks to go.

  • This product boasts a minimalist design and in-house manufacturing.
  • SocketCircuits’ kits are all in digital form, as downloadable diagrams (you can use any diagram you find online or in a book).
  • They all share the same basic sockets, lowering manufacturing costs.
  • Nearly any circuit can be built with them– their sockets are compatible with millions of low-cost commonly available components, including components with unique pin layouts like potentiometers, motors, and switches that won’t fit into breadboards.
  • You have a choice of either transparent “repositionable” adhesive backing or opaque magnetic backs that can be added for repeated use.
  • As the SocketCircuits offering expands, you will be able to reuse and expand your socket set to build countless circuits and projects.
  • This product boasts a minimalist design and in-house manufacturing.
