BetterCloud Raises $8.6 Mill

BetterCloud just brought in $8.6 million in venture capital

The Scoop: 

• BetterCloud is the leading provider of management and security software for about 22,000 cloud enabled organizations around the world. Read all about them. 
• BetterCloud has raised more than $13 million ($6 million last fall), prior to the recent raise. Investors in the company include Flybridge Capital Partners, Greycroft Partners, Tribeca Venture Partners, Bear Creek Capital LLC, Hallett Capital and BLH Venture Partners.
• They have two offices – one in New York (marketing, sales, support, customer success and finance) and the other in Atlanta (engineering, product management and QA). BetterCloud’s founder, David Politis, is a graduate of Emory University and spent seven years working in Atlanta, first as the founding employee at Vocalocity (recently acquired by Vonage) and then as an early executive at Cloud Sherpas prior to moving back to his native New York.
• BetterCloud was named a 2014 OnDemand Top 100 company in the cloud management and tools category based on a set of five criteria including innovation, market potential, commercialization, stakeholder value and media buzz.
