Bare Bliss Box is an organic, vegan, and nontoxic beauty and skincare subscription service. They aim to offer subscribers a “surprise” experience that keeps them wanting more by shipping various organic beauty samples to their front door each month. Bare Bliss also functions as a marketing channel for health conscious beauty brands who want to get their products into the hands of a targeted audience.
We caught up with founder, Shelli Price (pictured below) to give you the inside scoop:
Who are your competitors and how do you stand out: Our main competitor is BirchBox. They are pretty much the originators of the beauty box. Bare Bliss Box has taken a very different approach because we cater to a niche market. Brand partners are carefully selected based on product ingredients because we believe in beauty without compromising your health.
How does ATL weave into your story? Atlanta is an integral part of Bare Bliss Box because the company was founded here. There has been a huge surge of organic local farmers and I think that filtered into the growing trend for organic beauty products. Atlanta has a very authentic, southern hospitality community and I think Bare Bliss Box has adopted this lifestyle.
If you could have one mulligan (do-over) in the process of launching and running this startup what would it be? I would have jumped right into the fire and not waited so long to launch. Planning is great but execution of your idea is the only way to test it out and find out what works and what needs revising.
What kind of mentor could you use the most right now: A savvy entrepreneur who has a wealth of experience in marketing and ecommerce.
Is there anything else you need (that money can’t buy)? We are looking for people to join our team who believe in our vision to educate people on the benefits of using nontoxic beauty and skincare. We are looking for people with a constant flow of fresh, new, and innovative ideas. Money can’t buy ideas, essentially. Ideas are birthed organically into the minds of creative people.
