Adam and Shaun Lee are two brothers that started with an idea and a humble workshop in their parents’ basement in Marietta, Ga. They have since turned their oil can guitars into a blossoming online business.
Bohemian Guitars (@bohemianguitars) was inspired by the Lee’s upbringing in Johannesburg, South Africa, where they saw musicians creating guitars from recycled oil cans.

- They launched a Kickstarter campaign on January 15, 2013 with a goal of $32,000, and met that goal within 1 week.
- Currently fundraising on Fundable.
- Featured startup at the 2012 San Francisco Music Tech Summit.
- They placed 3rd out of 10 international startups at the Global Innovators Competition at the GTS Summit in Palo Alto.
- They have also sold (sold out) online through Urban Outfitters.
