Faiz Imran has built media startups and community social platforms, reaching four successful exits in less than eight years. Now after his most recent exit with the founder wellness platform startup called Peerbase, he’s ready to take on the wellness space…one patch at a time.
Imran just launched Atlanta-based startup brand Nectar Patches as a way to help people get users the supplements they need. Patches are applied directly to the skin, which Imran says helps deliver nutrients through a steady, long-lasting release that isn’t possible with popping vitamins or adding powders to different drinks.
The patches let people control how much of the product they use during each usage.
Get To Know Nectar
Building a CPG (consumer packaged goods) brand was a passion for Imran, who had been exploring ways to “optimize health and productivity with nootropics,” which are brain supplements and cognitive enhancers.
“The idea for Nectar Patches came naturally from my desire to create something that could seamlessly fit into people’s lives, offering an alternative to traditional supplements and increasing the control the user had on its effects,” he told Hypepotamus.
Imran spent a year and invested “nearly seven figures” into bringing the product to life.
To start, Nectar Patches is launching six variants of the product, including Energy, Sleep, Focus, Calm, Daily, and Recovery.
“One of the biggest revelations was how vastly different developing a physical product is compared to SaaS. In the digital world, you can update a line of code in seconds. With a physical product, every tweak in packaging or formula takes weeks of coordination and meticulous testing with real people. The journey taught us patience and precision, but it also reinforced that creating something people can feel and experience is incredibly rewarding. Every iteration brought us closer to a product that consistently delivers the results our customers expect—no shortcuts, just pure quality,” he added.
Keeping Up With New Shopping Trends
Imran said the young brand has found some impressive traction on TikTok Shop, the popular ecommerce platform on the social media giant.
“The incentives [TikTok Shop] is offering to both buyers and sellers are unlike anything I’ve seen in recent years, and wellness supplements are leading this trend by nearly 4x. Millions of units are being sold every month through TikTok Shop alone,” he added. “That’s when it became clear—if there was ever a time to launch a CPG brand, it’s now. With the support that these online platforms offer, it was the perfect opportunity to bring Nectar Patches to life.”
