Growing Quickly Globally, Atlanta’s Innova Buys New HQ at Perimeter

Editor’s note: This article was first published in Global Atlanta, an online news publication devoted to revealing the city’s ties with the world and helping local companies navigate the global economy.

Innova Solutions has long been a fixture in Atlanta’s technology community, but the fast-growing IT firm approaching $3 billion in revenues has not always been the most visible.

Founded by entrepreneur Raj Sardana, the company started as American Cybersystems Inc. and since 1998 has operated from Duluth, even as it built up a massive team in India, started to scale in other global markets and last year rebranded to better reflect its move away from IT staffing and toward industry-focused expertise.

In January, however, the company made what Mr. Sardana called a “strategic choice” to move to the central Perimeter area, purchasing a 186,000-square-foot office building at 1455 Lincoln Parkway, just off Ashford-Dunwoody Road near Perimeter Mall.

Innova will occupy less than a third of the building, around 50,000 square feet on the top two of eight floors, but executives see the location as key to attracting talent and positioning the company better with customers.

“Since our founding in 1998, we have called Georgia home. We are now making the move from Duluth as part of a broader effort to target Innova’s presence around the globe to better serve the needs of our clients,” Mr. Sardana told Global Atlanta in an emailed statement. “Relocating our headquarters to the central Perimeter area is a strategic choice, placing us in a highly accessible hub known for attracting top-tier talent and leading global businesses. By joining this esteemed community, we’re creating an environment that fosters success for our clients, partners, and innovators—upholding Innova’s longstanding commitment to excellence.”

The area is home to the headquarters of Cox Enterprises, Mercedes-Benz North America, Intercontinental Hotels Group and Insight Global, among many other domestic and international firms.

In a news release, CBRE, which represented the firm in the transaction, did not disclose the purchase price of the building, which was built in 1986. It will be 82 percent leased when the company moves in.

Innova has 300 employees in metro Atlanta and more than 50,000 across delivery centers in North America, Europe and Asia. Over the next three years, it plans to hire 5,000 more employees in India, which is becoming increasingly central to the company’s growth plans.
