Buying groceries, clothes — and well, just about every other item imaginable — online is the norm in 2020.
Now companies shopping for one of more than 5,000 cybersecurity and compliance products out on the market have their very own ecommerce platform.
Atlanta-based Apptega launched CyberXchange earlier this month. The B2B ecommerce marketplace is designed to help companies shop for cybersecurity software options based on their specific industry regulations and needs.
This is important because according to a recent PwC study, 91% of all enterprises must follow a cybersecurity framework like HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2, NIST, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), among a growing list of others.
“Organizations of all sizes are facing new security challenges from their teams working remotely during the pandemic, extreme security staffing shortages, and too many cybersecurity product choices,” said Armistead Whitney, CEO of CyberXchange, in a statement. “We’re really excited to debut CyberXchange today with an outstanding group of leading cybersecurity providers and emerging brands to make cybersecurity commerce easier for companies around the world.”
The platform helps companies search and filter for frameworks in categories such as application security, asset management, or business continuity help.
The platform is an important product for cybersecurity professionals looking to keep ahead of the various software options out there. “One of the most challenging aspects of a CISO’s job is sorting through the hundreds of cybersecurity vendors flooding the market each year, trying to make sense of how a particular tool may fit into their unique security architecture and compliance frameworks. CyberXchange helps cut through the noise, alleviating the ever-growing vendor fatigue, allowing organizations to build a more secure and compliant cybersecurity program,” said Dino Boukouris, director of Momentum Cyber, in a statement about the launch of CyberXchange.
