Atlanta-based Startup Acquired By Real Estate Management Giant

by Maija Ehlinger

Techstars Atlanta is celebrating another successful acquisition.

CommissionTrac, a cloud-based revenue management platform that streamlines back office admin work for commercial real estate agents, has been acquired by Yardi Systems.

Based in Santa Barbara, California, Yardi provides end-to-end property and investment management software to those in the commercial real estate field. Yardi already has a 400+ person office in Atlanta and 7,000 employees globally.

To date, CommissionTrac told Hypepotamus that its platform has been used by over 1,100 users from 60+ companies, as brokers use it to organize deal flow, store documents, and put together various financial reports.

Large players in the real estate game like Colliers International, Cushman & Wakefield, CBRE, and TenantBase use the platform.

CommissionTrac will integrate into Yardi’s CommercialEdge suite.

The CommercialEdge platform allows real estate professionals to analyze comprehensive property data — including transaction, ownership, and debt information — and uncover market insights with the latest sales and listings information.

CommissionTrac was in the third Techstars Atlanta cohort with SAWA, the graphic design startup acquired by Mailchimp in 2019.
