It’s one word that can bring headaches and eyerolls at the start of any new business relationship.
Onboarding.
The process of bringing on new partners, ventures, or customers into a system is often fraught with complexity, since collecting and verifying vast amounts of data must be done accurately. That problem is nearly universal, with government agencies, fintechs, and marketplace platforms often dealing with a mountain of paperwork or long onboarding digital forms.
“Figuring out the rules and regulations and what is allowed to do and not to” is usually one big problem companies face, said Atlanta entrepreneur Amyn Sadruddin.
One of the latest startups to spin up in Atlanta, Believ Ai, wants to streamline the often tiresome onboarding process.
Serving The Enterprise World
Believe’s platform leverages conversational AI and OCR technology to improve the onboarding process. And it has found several unique use cases across the enterprise world. The gaming industry needs efficient partner and affiliate onboarding is crucial for timely payments and global compliance. The public sector needs to ensure that regulations are kept up with as new vendors enter their portals. Marketplaces need to ensure seller verification as well as automated tax and compliance checks in order to do business. And the FinTech industry need to automate risk assessments during the onboarding process.
All these industries can benefit from using Believ, according to the Atlanta-based team.

“Today our customers have already started to explore how you can use Language libraries for FAQs with their customers. We’ve taken conversational AI and fine tuned it for business onboarding and industry specifics to really create a business onboarding experience like no other,” added Sadruddin. “Our AI is also directly mapped with our data verification sources, so every conversation is enriched because verification of the individual and business is done in real time. Our AI stewards the data and verifies, leaving the business to make the decision.”
Atlanta’s AI World
CEO and co-founder Sanjay Ahuja and co-founder Amyn Sadruddin are well connected in the Atlanta startup ecosystem. Sadruddin, a Georgia State graduate, has been with TiE Atlanta for the last decade serving as the entrepreneurial support organization’s Program Director and then Executive Director. Before launching Believ, Sadruddin was the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) of Atlanta-based data consulting agency Intellekt AI. Ahuja co-founded Intellekt in 2019.
The proliferation of artificial intelligence has changed how legacy companies and fast-moving startups alike do business. It has also helped create a new wave of startups across the globe. Atlanta has served as fertile ground for AI-powered startups like Believ and Intellekt.
The community around AI has also grown significantly over the last year. Many AI leaders will be coming together on April 4 for a new hands-on collaborative event, AI Day In The A.
