Hypepotamus is excited to welcome global educational institution General Assembly (GA) to Atlanta.
General Assembly is expanding into Atlanta and while they wait to move into their permanent home, Hypepotamus is teaming with GA to bring even more educational programming into our community. Through this partnership, General Assembly will offer a series of evening classes at Hypepotamus in the historic Biltmore in Midtown, Atlanta.

April 22nd, 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM- How To Pitch Your Startup to Venture Firms
Blake Patton will cover preparation for the pitch session, building and designing a compelling deck, following up after the meeting and more. Takeaways include: What should I look for in an investor? How do I connect with investors? What’s the process a VC uses to evaluate an investment? What does an investor look for in a deal? How should I prepare for a pitch session with a VC? April 23rd, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM- Bringing Your Ecommerce Idea to Concept
This class will introduce you to the necessary ingredients in starting an e-commerce business, including generating, validating, and refining ideas for a new product. We’ll cover the development from idea generation, opportunity, recognition, entry strategy, and growth to get you on the path to a successful launch. Takeaways include: Learn how to conduct effective research and fully develop your product & understand the basic process and tools to test your hypothesis and build your site. REGISTER
April 29th, 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM- Growth Hacking For Startups
In this workshop,taught by Roger Lopez, you’ll not only learn about growth hacking and the methods that come with it, you’ll also be able to start applying new strategies to significantly increase your customer base. Takeaways include: Clearly define the term “growth hacking” and learn how companies are currently applying it to increase your user base, create a growth hack strategy in order to optimize an existing product / company’s conversion funnel, present your growth hack strategies and defend your decisions, understand viral campaigns, A/B testing and how to identify your most valuable acquisition channels. The GA classes will be charging a small cost, but Ecommerce School is, and will continue to be offered at Hype for free on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM. The Ecommerce School audience ranges from college students to professionals; everyone is welcome and has something to add. An expert in the field leads a focused lesson followed by a 30-minute workshop, Q & A, or burn session.
