AtlBlackTech to host virtual panel on the State of Atlanta’s Black Tech Ecosystem

AtlBlackTech

2020 has refocused national attention on police abuse of power, racism and issues of economic inequality in profound ways. Building off the momentum from their 2019 event, AtlBlackTech is back with its State of the Atlanta Black Tech Ecosystem series, to discuss how these national conversations are impacting the local community.

The virtual August 6th event, sponsored by Goodie Nation and Accenture, will bring together leaders across the Atlanta tech community to talk about education, corporate tech, entrepreneurship, and what next steps are needed in 2020 and beyond.

ATL(BLK)TCK was founded to “improve the quality, quantity, and connections for people of African descent in the Atlanta tech ecosystem.” You can find a full list of upcoming events – including virtual job fairs – on their website.

Speakers for the August 6th event include Accenture’s Chloe Barzey, Andrea Miller, TechStars Impact/Collab Capital’s Barry Givens, Martin Chaplin, Kristina Smith-Newton (Founder and CEO of HYPE), Joey Womack (Goodie Nation and WeWork), among others.

Those interested in joining the conversation are encouraged to submit questions ahead of the event.
