Virtual Workshop: An Open Windows Culture
July 21 @ 10:30 am
If you’ve ever heard phrases like “Do better” and “Spread love” and wondered what exactly that means. Then you’re in the right place. Conversations regarding racism, ethnicity, genderism, sexism, colorism, ageism and other isms are prevalent. Often times, those conversations end in a staid “We got to do better,” type of statement. Well, not here.
While race, ethnicity, and age can’t change, culture, defined as the customs and acts of a group, can be rewritten. Open Windows Culture focuses on actionable steps to understand the value of other cultures, introduce how we can rewrite our personal culture and finally points the participant in a clear direction in order to change the culture of their spheres of influence.
An Open Windows Culture is a life where you continually allow lessons from other cultures to inform who you are. An Open Windows Culture is about recognizing that you have the power to rewrite your culture and you have the power to help rewrite the culture of your neighborhood.
