Turn Your 1st Degree Contacts into Connections
June 10 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
“True networking is about building a real relationship, one where they would be open to helping you and you would be open to helping them.” – Robert Hellmann
There’s an opportunity to build real business relationships at the next event for the Alpharetta Business Networking meetup group. The event is scheduled for Monday, June 10, 2019, at 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Village Tavern in Alpharetta.
This meetup event is informal and casual. It’s equal parts business, social and professional. It’s easy – just come in, get yourself a name tag, drop a business card in the “urn of networking” for the raffle, and then start saying hello.
These events are free, but please RSVP so our venue can be prepared. You can update your RSVP if your plans change.
1) New to the group?
Every event has a mix of people new to this event, so you won’t be the only one. Generally, about 50% of the people at every event are new too. Come grow your network!
2) Get a mention in our monthly reminder.
This group publishes a reminder note that goes to the 3,000+ registered members. There are opportunities for active members of the group to get a free plug in it. It’s free! Here’s how to do it: https://is.gd/MpztHI
3) Congrats Patrick and Anthony!
At our last event, Anthony won our regular raffle – a $10 gift certificate to Amazon. Patrick won a business book sent to our group by the author. Both of these gentleman are financial and investment advisors and good people to know.
4) Have you joined our group on LinkedIn?
Our LinkedIn group is the digital companion for our real-world networking group. This is a good way to transform contacts into connections – and we post news from around the community: https://www.linkedin.com/groups/12118249/
5) No hard-selling policy.
Please don’t come to these events and hard sell. We have a two-strike rule: If I see you doing it, I’ll ask you privately to stop. If you do it again, there will be no warning, I’ll simply remove and block you from the group.
6) Source of the quote.
The quote in the beginning (and idea for this month’s theme and title) comes from a contributed article in Forbes which you can find here: https://is.gd/PlHWNa.
