It’s no secret that traditional brick and mortal retail has been significantly affected by COVID-19. According to Statista, while overall retail sales volume was down 8% from February to March and 16% from March to April, clothing sales volume dropped 49% from February to March and 79% from March to April. Join us to learn from Patrick Moore, Carter’s North America head, how an Atlanta-based renown retailer has navigated the disruptions caused by the pandemic and some thoughts on the future of retail after COVID-19.
Patrick Moore joined Carter’s Inc in 2017 as Executive Vice President, Strategy & Business Development. Mr. Moore was named Executive Vice President, North America Retail in 2019. From 2013 to 2017, Mr. Moore was Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer with YP Holdings, a portfolio company of Cerberus Capital Management and one of the largest digital media businesses in the United States. While at YP, Mr. Moore was responsible for a number of functions including strategy, corporate development, labor, compliance, real estate, and business development. From 2001 to 2013, Mr. Moore was with McKinsey & Company, Inc., where he served as a partner from 2006 to 2013, and managed clients across a variety of industries, including consumer products, retail, media, hospitality, and technology.
Mr. Moore is a member of the Board of Directors of Interpublic Group and Ryman Hospitality Properties, and he has a degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
