Sally Hawkins, Senior Manager at KPMGSally is a Senior Manager in KPMG’s Accounting Methods and Credits Services (“AMCS”) practice. She has over a decade of experience leading Research and Development (“R&D”) Credit engagements specifically for financial services companies, resulting in hundreds of millions of credits claimed. Additionally, prior to joining public accounting, Sally worked in commercial banking underwriting small business loans, and also in investment banking, specifically focusing on business development for the FinTech space.
Brett Goldsberry, Tax Managing Director at KPMGBrett is a Managing Director who currently oversees a team of KPMG Spark professionals who prepare financial statements and provide tax compliance services for all of KPMG Sparks’ small business clients located all over the United States. KPMG Spark professionals utilize proprietary accounting software to assist in preparing financial statements allowing small business owners to focus on their business and do what they do best, namely running and growing their businesses. Brett and his team have worked with many clients during the COVID-19 pandemic in educating and making them aware of the various government programs such as the Paycheck Protection Program, SBA EIDL Grants and loan programs, allowing businesses to stay afloat during difficult times and continue to pay their employees.
Michael George, Senior Manager at KPMGMike is a senior manager in KPMG’s Business Tax Services practice in Charlotte, NC. Mike focuses primarily on the Financial Services industry – including Financial Institutions such as regional and community banks, as well as emerging growth financial technology companies. He has experience in tax compliance and accounting services for both publicly and privately held clients. Mike also assists his clients in tax planning and consulting opportunities, including tax method changes and tax credits.
