product404 – Privacy By Design
August 29, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Join us for the second product404 meetup, bringing together Product leaders and professionals from iconic brands and disruptive start-ups in the Atlanta community. product404 aims to bring meaningful change to the way their teams work, and enable them with tools to deliver successful products to market.
The awareness of privacy implications for data-driven decision making is growing to a critical mass, first driven by General Data Protection Regulation going into effect in Europe, followed by the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018. Society is demanding that the rights of the individual are not forgotten as companies continue to innovate and drive progress. Speakers Kevin Jones (Product Manager, OneTrust) and Brittani Smalls (Accounting and Compliance Manager, Women Who Code) will join the event to discuss their experience balancing privacy in the context of other business objectives.
Kevin is a Product Manager at OneTrust, an Atlanta technology startup focused on delivering Privacy Program and Wed/Marketing Compliance products. With over 6 years spent delivering compliance products to Fortune 500 companies, and multiple technology patents attributed to him, he brings deep domain knowledge and privacy expertise, providing insight into how one of the leading privacy technology companies perceives the changing regulatory landscape, and his perspective on how companies today are delivering products with those considerations in mind.
Brittani is the Accounting and Compliance Manager for Women Who Code. She has 13 years of Accounting/Internal Audit/IT Controls/Data Analytics experience, and has uncovered over $1.5B in fraud/misallocation throughout her career. Her most recent accomplishments include helping Women Who Code become GDPR compliant, and speaking about Data Privacy at Twitter HQ during WWCode’s CONNECT 2018 Conference in April.
Attendees will network with other Atlanta product leaders and professionals, and will leave with the latest insights on the impact of privacy on product delivery.
