NPU Initiative: Partnership Working Session

May 4 @ 12:00 pm

Calling all potential partners:

The Center for Civic Innovation recently launched the NPU Initiative – an independently-led, multi-year study and review of the city’s historic Neighborhood Planning Unit (NPU) system. Last month, we had our first working session meeting, where we introduced a working group structure to collaboratively guide the initiative and how we are executing our goals.

Our hope is to create a coalition of organizations and individuals from across Atlanta to partner with us and help drive this initiative forward over the next two years.

Join us as we host our May working sessions, where we will begin to branch off into smaller working groups, and strategically discuss how you and/or your organization can be involved for support, guidance, and accountability.

We’ll give a brief overview of the working group structure, and brainstorm in small groups about different ideas and goals that we would like to see. We’re looking for partners to think big about community engagement to work collaboratively to educate our fellow Atlanta residents about the Neighborhood Planning Unit system and to evaluate possible improvements that can make it better for everyone.

*Note: This event has two RSVP dates — both sessions will consist of the same program, so no need to register for both (unless you really want to!)*
