With SoDo Atlanta, David and Jon hope and intend to transform Downtown Atlanta.
David Cummings is the Founder of Atlanta Tech Village. A proud Duke graduate and accomplished entrepreneur, David Cummings is the reason Atlanta Tech Village – the United States’ 4th largest tech hub – exists. After an extraordinary bootstrapped exit at his start-up Pardot, David invested in Atlanta and the startup community by purchasing ATV’s 100,000 square foot building and creating the vision for the Village. All told, the Atlanta-based tech entrepreneur has founded 10 companies employing thousands of people, including Pardot, SalesLoft, and Terminus.
Addicted to startups, David is also CEO of Atlanta Ventures and an avid investor – having invested in over 25 startups. He is the largest investor in Calendly, the world’s most popular scheduling app. After selling Pardot, he was named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year winner and one of the 100 Most Influential Atlantans by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
Jon Birdsong is a Partner at Atlanta Ventures and has spent his entire career in the Atlanta technology community starting or working for startups. He loves selling, marketing, writing, and storytelling. When not doing one of those activities, he’s organizing community and podcasting.
