International Women’s Day Dinner

March 7 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Join Refugee Women’s Network at Legacy Park in Decatur this International Women’s Day to support food-based minority female entrepreneurs at various stages of their business development.

This fundraiser dinner will support our entreprenuership development program, Chefs Club!

About Chefs Club:

Chefs Club is an entrepreneurship development program that supports refugee and immigrant women’s economic empowerment.

Refugee entrepreneurship support often fails to consider childcare needs and cultural preferences for women-only programs. Often entrepreneurship development programs are focused on technical pursuits, failing to address the unique barriers refugee and immigrant women face. Initiatives to establish women-only and child-friendly entrepreneurship programs are absent in our communities.

Chefs club addresses the unique barriers refugee and immigrant women entreprenuers face, and provides industry-specific training, mentorship, assistance with accessing capital and income generation opportunities.

Concept:

The event will include delicious and authentic global cuisine featuring the entrepreneurs of the program along with a fireside chat on the importance of supporting minority female entrepreneurs.

Menu:

The global cuisine will feature authentic dishes such as Afghan Qabuli Palao. Eritrean Sambusas, Syrian Mandi Rice, Iraqi Baklava, and more!

Thank you to Legacy Park for being our generous venue sponsors!
