Creating Inclusive Culture

Learn guidelines for difficult conversations and precise language to discuss the concepts of privilege and identity, then deep dive into microaggressions, implicit bias, and handling your blindspots. Leave knowing how to offer an effective apology and give and receive feedback, as well as D&I best practices to bring to your organization.

Workshop runs 3 hours with a maximum of 20 participants.

About the instructor: Sarah Larkin Birdsong is a licensed therapist who has been teaching soft skills workshops at tech companies and providing psychotherapy for tech folks in New York City for the last five years. Specializing in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, she brings her skills, education, and experience as a therapist to create a safe space to explore this challenging subject. With a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University that specialized in Multicultural Counseling, Birdsong brings a unique perspective of psychology and sociology to soft skills training. Typically leading manager and executive level workshops at individual companies, Birdsong is now branching out to invite individuals from a variety of organizations and settings to learn this vital content and bring it back to their workplace to foster inclusivity. Learn precise language around microaggressions and implicit bias, how to apologize and give and receive feedback, and D&I best practices.
