Boo at the Zoo

Volunteer at Atlanta’s favorite family Halloween festival! Dates: Saturday, October 28, 2023 Volunteer Shift Afternoon: 11:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Please note that all volunteers will gather in the Education building for orientation prior to heading out to their assignments. Assignment Options: greet visitors, hand out candy, assist with crafts and carnival games, guide our costume characters around the Zoo. Assignments are assigned upon check-in. If you want a certain assignment your group must arrive on time for your shift. Event Details: https://zooatlanta.org/event/boo-at-the-zoo/. Attire: Merry not scary – costumes are optional but encouraged! If you do not wear a costume, you can wear Halloween themed clothing in orange and black or your group/company t-shirt. All costumes must be family friendly. Depending on the weather, dress in layers. No face masks* or full face paint. *surgical/kn95 masks are okay. Requirements: Volunteers must be at least 8 years old to assist with the event. All Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. One adult chaperone is required for every three youth under the age of 18 (1 to 3 ratio). Shifts fill up fast for this event – we hope to hear from you soon!
