Looking to pitch? Need an accelerator? Here are some dates to know that are coming up for February 2025:
* gBETA Charlotte – Feb 3
gBETA Charlotte is an accelerator for early-stage companies with local roots in Charlotte, North Carolina. gBETA requires at least 5-7 hours weekly of programming, not including the time founders dedicate to working on their businesses independently.
* Klaus Startup Challenge (Georgia Tech students) – Feb 3
Named in honor of Christopher W. Klaus, the Klaus Startup Challenge is an entry-level pitch competition designed to prepare beginner entrepreneurs for future competitions and funding opportunities. Five winning teams will each earn $150,000 toward their startup! Please apply by the deadline (Monday, February 3rd) by 11:59 pm.
* Furman’s Next Big Idea (Furman students) – Feb 3
Through The Hill Institute at Furman University. Designed to develop and foster innovative and entrepreneurially minded leaders through programs involving venture investment, ideation and launching, pitch competitions to accelerate your career or venture!

* UGA Venture Prize Competition (Athens) – Feb 5
The 4th Annual UGA Venture Prize Competition sponsored by Floor & Decor will take place on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Studio 225, the Student Center for Entrepreneurship, in Athens. Student entrepreneurs, all from the University of Georgia, will pitch their business and/or idea for 1st place prize of $10,000, 2nd place prize of $5,000, and 3rd place prize of $2,500. Applications due February 5.
* RevTech Labs Accelerator – Feb 14
The RevTech Labs Accelerator accelerator program works with post revenue, post growth fintechs and insurtechs from around the world, providing Founders with a customized 12-week roadmap based on their unique goals and objectives.
* Prosper HealthTech Accelerator (Birmingham) – Feb 16
PHTA partners with five (5) high performing teams building solutions that save cost and improve lives. We Invite them to our residency program to build in the Deep South for 12 weeks alongside our network of healthcare partners and mentors.
* NC IDEA Micro and Seed Grants (North Carolina) – Feb 24
Early stage, growth-oriented companies can apply for one of two different NC IDEA grants: NC IDEA MICRO awards $10K project-based grants to young companies looking to validate assumptions and develop a business model. NC IDEA SEED offers $50K grants to early stage companies, often the critical funding they need to scale faster.
* UGA’s Next Top Entrepreneur – Feb 28
The UGA Entrepreneurship Program invites current students from any college or university to take part in UGA’s Next Top Entrepreneur Pitch Competition on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 5–8:30 p.m. at the UGA’s Studio 225 (225 W. Broad St.) in Athens. UGA’s Next Top Entrepreneur is open to student startup teams from all over the country. During this live event, teams pitch their existing business plans or business idea in front of a live audience and a panel of judges. At the end of the competition, the 1st place team receives $10,000, 2nd place team receives $5,000, and 3rd place team receives $2,500. Applications due February 28.
